Dr. Julia Gorelik is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist, specializing in psychological and psycho-educational assessments. She provides psychological services, including comprehensive assessment, diagnostic, and treatment recommendations for children and adolescents. She has expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders. Her office is located in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood.
ABOUT
Dr. Gorelik specializes in psychological and psycho-educational evaluations with both children and adolescents. She has extensive clinical experience in the assessment of children with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Her expertise is in the diagnostic assessment of developmental delays, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), and autism. She uses a child’s pattern of strengths and weaknesses to help guide treatment recommendations. Dr. Gorelik also provides IQ/Gifted evaluations, early entrance Kindergarten and College Board documentation testing, and school consultation.
Dr. Gorelik received her B.A. from Indiana University–Bloomington and Ph.D. in School Psychology from Temple University in 2010. At Temple University, Dr. Gorelik worked on a Head Start grant and taught an undergraduate interpersonal communication course. She also gained experience at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s The Center for Management of ADHD and through their social skills program, Friend to Friend/Praise. She completed her doctoral dissertation on interpersonal relationships and their impact on academic achievement and social-emotional functioning in preschool children. Dr. Gorelik completed her pre-doctoral internship at the School District of Philadelphia. She continued her post-doctoral training and professional career as a school psychologist with Clifton Public Schools in Clifton, NJ. In addition to working in private practice, Dr. Gorelik holds a school psychologist position with Lake Washington School District in Kirkland, WA.
Dr. Gorelik continues her training at the University of Washington Autism Center. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Association of School Psychologists, and the Washington State Association of School Psychologists. She is a licensed psychologist in both Washington and New York and a national certified school psychologist.
